Krka National Park is one of the most beautiful and most visited national parks in Croatia. The Krka River with its seven travertine waterfalls and a total drop of 242 meters represents a natural and karst phenomenon of world significance.
The most famous waterfall, Skradinski Buk, with 17 cascades over a length of 800 meters and a height of 45.7 meters, is the longest and most beautiful travertine cascade in Europe. Visitors can walk along wooden pathways right at the edge of the falls and enjoy the incredible beauty of nature.
The park is home to 860 plant species, 222 bird species and numerous endemic species. On the islet of Visovac stands a Franciscan monastery from the 15th century, and upstream you can find the medieval fortress Ključica and the Orthodox monastery Krka.
Krka National Park is only about 50 km from Pakoštane, making it a perfect destination for a half-day or full-day excursion from Hotel Marin.
